Long time no see!

Well it’s been awhile! I’m not sure when I last wrote but I believe it was right before I had my baby…his name is Ezekiel Zaiah and he is now 2 months old today and life is starting to settle a bit. I’ll update a bit on what has been going on…

I have to say that having our fourth child has been a LOT to adjust to-and it’s been cold season so we’ve had viruses galore coming in and out of our house! One after the other! I was just in the hospital 2 weeks ago for 5 days with Ezekiel because he got pneumonia, RSV and Bronchiolitis all at the same time! It was hard, to say the least! He needed to be on IV antibiotics, which was brutal to watch an infant get an IV-with 3 attempts! 😦 but him and I got to spend the whole week together (I missed my other kids, but they were home with daddy and my week was quiet! boring even!) 🙂

We’ve come to the conclusion that we are going to homeschool Sophie in the fall for grade 1! I am beyond thrilled to do it! I always wanted to homeschool and I finally got Ben on board with me for it! I just registered her and filled out the work plan forms for her school year-so excited!

Emily and Hunter have taken the brunt of the winter I think-they don’t have school to escape to and the winter has been COLD here and very very LONG! Poor kids have been cooped up in the house because I can’t take them alone to play at the Canada Games Centre to swim or do gymnastics or anything like that…so they are getting severely bored! On Ben’s days off we try to get them out together to let them burn off steam but when the temperature warms up and doesn’t come with a snowfall (which is has this week, been snowing all week!) I will send them outside to play!

i’ve been given the green light to start working out while minding my incision from my c-section…fitting in working out is hard with kids everywhere but i just workout with them 🙂 we make it fun! I have a long way to go (!) but am determined to get back in shape because my pancreas has taken a beating from 5 babies in 6 years-my doctors are about 2 seconds from diagnosing me with type 2 diabetes, and my blood pressure is crazy high…so as long as i stay on my medication i won’t have a stroke…but i have to be careful-it feels kind of like a tight rope that i’m on! I’m not going to lie, it’s been scary…for both Ben and myself, but I know that there is a lot more to my life than just birthing these kids to just die! So i have motivation to get back in shape. I have to. so if you talk to me on a regular basis, keep me accountable-or encourage me-or offer to babysit my kids so i can go to the gym 🙂

Otherwise, life is the same as we know it…just with one more baby in the mix! He is a wonderful baby, and already getting into a routine! but we are doing it! we are a great team, and we love each other and we are so so blessed!

Thank you everyone for your support! We have been so blessed by our friends with meals, sitters, prayers, love, house cleaning….it’s been so nice! Thank you! thank you! thank you!
