My mind is weaved in love, joy, mercy and bright colours. 🙂 When I hear the word ‘inspiration’, I think of the future. How do I get to where I want to be. What do I need to do to get there. As a mom, it’s so easy to get down on myself for all the things I didn’t do-when I really just need to stop and think about the little moments where my kids want kisses and huggles (snuggles), or when my son is outside doing boy things but quickly looks at me and says, “Momma, can I snuggie you when we get home?” I know that in those moments, I’m doing something right. The love I have for my kids is large! The love I have for people around me is large! But how do we move in the inspiration, how do we move mountains? {some things to think about}

Lately I’ve been on a journey, both mentally and emotionally, (and physically with my weight loss journey) and in the process of this journey, I’ve been analyzing my goals-my hopes and dreams, the things I want to achieve-how I process things and how I react. I’ve been “writing the vision down”. I feel this topic is really important to discuss! It’s important to consider what inspires us! As moms, if we don’t continually remind ourselves what it is that inspires us to keep going we get complacent and in that, everything just sinks. Our motivation sinks, our confidence sinks, our goals as mothers, wives, friends and women, sink. What inspires you? What keeps you going? How do you go from day to day? How do you get through the really hard stuff? The not so hard stuff? What makes you rise and conquer? As women and moms, we are warriors! What is it that causes us to rise within ourselves and conquer our dreams? Just getting through a day, putting our kids to bed at night, is conquering! 🙂

Inspiration is a continually evolving thing! Through inspiration we lead, we inspire others around us and we encourage. This is the primary goal for me with this blog, to inspire. To build you up and encourage you. To give hope to some of you through my experiences. When we find the things inside our own hearts that we’re passionate about and go after those things, invest in our own self growth, we can soar! The process, or journey, is so exciting! Seeking out the things that we are passionate about, the things that move us to change the world! To move mountains! That process is what drives us to rise and conquer!

I believe that all the things we encounter in our lives, all the circumstances we go through, both good and bad, if dealt with in a healthy way and learned from, if we take to heart the things we need to walk away with to become stronger, those are the things we can use as a drive to conquer! When I lost my son 7 years ago, I don’t remember much about the time frame immediately after, but what I DO remember is feeling like I wanted his life to matter-like I wanted to have impact on other women who are going through the same thing. I also learned that stillbirth is much more common than I’d realized! I have shared my story with a lot of people, believing that his life mattered-that I can make a difference because he made such a difference to me! And it’s not just things like that, but that is one of my key personal situations that I have walked out of a really crappy situation that was meant to defeat me and I have risen above and encouraged others with it, in order to make some kind of difference! If we, as women, used our circumstances to encourage and support one another, what a difference we would make in the world.

Inspiration is continually evolving, and moving from Point A of grief to Point B of stepping out and trusting that “all things can be turned to the good”, to Point C of cultivating the strength to support others (because not a lot of people want to talk about death, let alone death of babies!) to Point D of recreating myself as a mom and allowing that circumstance to evolve along with other things that I have learned from, into the courage I needed to become who I am…joyful, strong, determined to get healthy so I can be around for my kids and my grandkids, supportive to my friends and other women I connect with in the amazing blogging world of social media! There are so many things we can say to excuse ourselves from being inspired, to choose to allow the horrible things in our life to take us down…or we can rise up and use those things as fuel to be all that we were created to be, as women, as warriors, to be the greatest mom for our children-to shoot them high into the sky to reach for the moon! Those are the things that inspire me!

Praying for strength & courage for you today as you read this…

“You are braver than you believe, stronger than you seem, smarter than you think and loved more than you know!”
